Renica Hamilton

This is Ms. Hamilton’s second term on the CISGG Board of Directors. When not serving on the Board, or with Leadership Greensboro and the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, Inc. (NANBPWC), she serves as the Assistant Vice President of Strategic Business Management at Lincoln Financial. Ms. Hamilton reports an immediate connection with the students we serve having grown up with similar challenges which she successfully conquered.

Jason Norris

Mr. Norris serves as the job development manager for Goodwill Industries of Central NC. His areas of knowledge and expertise include survival skills for men/youth; leading with a purpose; project management and business engagement. In addition to his upcoming CIS board service, Mr. Norris’ other professional engagements include the Greensboro Police Department Community Think Tank and Project Safe Neighborhood Planning Committee.

Virginia King Phelps

Ms. Phelps serves as the manager of communications collaborative for Quaintance-Weaver (QW) Restaurants & Hotels. In addition to CIS, Ms. Phelps serves as a member of the Guilford Education Leadership Team. Ms. Phelps and QW have been critical supporters of the Big Equity Fund led by our very own board member, Athan Lindsay of the Community Foundation of Gr Gso.

Karen Williamson

team, Communities In Schools of Greater Greensboro

In her day job, Ms. Williamson serves as the program manager for the Guilford County Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), specifically foster care. That role puts her in close proximity to CIS as the administrative liaison between CIS and DHHS. Ms. Williamson also serves on the Board of Directors of Juvenile Crime Prevention Councils (JCPC), a closely aligned effort to galvanize community leaders locally and statewide to reduce and prevent juvenile crime.
